Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have a fancy kitchen or equipment to hire a personal chef?

Not at all! Our goal is to make food accessible no matter your circumstances. We will ask questions about your kitchen and equipment during the initial consultation to get an idea of what meals we can make possible with what you have.

Why hire a personal chef?

Not everyone has the time, energy, or capacity to cook their own meals. Whether you have a demanding job that allows you little time in the kitchen or you have a health concern that makes it difficult to stay on top of cooking, a personal chef is there to make your life easier- from meal planning to shopping, to cooking and clean up.

How much does it cost?

While some in-home meal prep companies charge per meal, we charge by the hour. This allows us to be flexible and tailor meal plans to meet the needs of our clients. We currently charge $65 per hour, which includes cooking, packaging, and clean-up time. There is a $50 flat-rate fee that will cover meal planning and shopping. First-time customers will also expect to pay a one-time container fee of $50. Groceries are not covered and will be added as a separate expense.

Do I need to be home while the chef is there?

We ask that you are home for the first visit so that we can tour your kitchen space and review expectations. After this, you may choose to provide your chef with entry instructions and have them provide services while you are away.

How long is a normal cooking session?

This depends on the size of your family, number of meals, and the complexity of the meals. On average, most sessions are anywhere from 2-4 hours but may vary.
